- In today’s global scenario, it is extremely important for the learners of any Institute to acquire extra knowledge over and above the regular course of study as prescribed in the curriculum.
- All the students need to work further to enhance their talent to be not only the part of the race but to win it.
- In this process of enhancement, the students need to acquire various types of skills and techniques to deal with day-to-day life challenges to get ready for the job market.
- Hence, in tune with the Vision and Mission of the College, we have decided to go ahead with the progressive STEPs.
Practice
- All the Departments of the College have designed various certificate and skill development courses to bridge the gap between the curriculum and requirements of industry and corporate sectors. This provides extra knowledge to the students.
- Apart from that, every Department organizes various types of events at the Departmental, inter – Departmental level to provide requisite platform to the students.
- These events are organized in accordance with the vision and mission of the college along with maintenance of harmonization with aims and objectives of the Department.
- These events are structured and executed for active participation of the students at every level whereby students can learn through real time situations.
- The guidelines are issued by the principal regarding such kind of events, which are planned out and executed at the departmental levels.
- There is organizing committee of the teachers and students working under able guidance of the respective Head or Coordinator along with a group of the students who participate it the event.
- Various types of events such as Invited Talks, Role Play, Quiz, Essay Writing, Elocution, Aptitude Test, Innovative Concept Presentation etc. are organized.
- The participating students are instructed well in advanced about the format, conduct and assessment methodologies during the events.
- The participants are appreciated, and winners are felicitated with certificates, medals, trophies.
Evidence of Success
- All the records in the form of application letter duly signed by the principal to grant the permission, notices of the programmes, attendance records of the participants, reports of the events and geo – tagged photographs are maintained in chronological order.
- There is increase in the number of the students placement in various industries and corporates.
- There is increase in the salary packages of the students.
- There is demand of the students from a particular sector in the industry and corporate.

Learner-Centric Education
Objectives of the Practice
The aim of college is to attract the focus of students on career development, academic support
and overall support by practicing a series of student support and service activities via different mechanism all of which were learner centric.
The Context
As college long term vision, the college facilitates the success of the students after the completion of their course for higher education. The support for students is designed in such a manner that along with help it also removes academic professional and financial barriers. College also provides various facilities to students to enhance their skills and to help them in job and placement.
The Practice
There are a lot of Learner-centric practices rendered in the form of academic support and career guidance in variously entitled systems by the university as stated by its vision and mission. For most successful and demonstrated customs which were initiated by the college under the title “Learner-Centric Education” to extend the services and supports to the students are outlined below:
Career Guidance and Counselling
The college provides career guidance for their higher education to students. College appoints one Career Guidance Counsellors to render the counselling.
Placement
The graduates have to be registered in office and submit their CVs for placements in Government / Private and Public sector organizations. The College is also organizing Campus Recruitment for the Students.
Training Programme
Also arranges training for the students of the college to develop soft skills and make them employable.
Short Term Courses
Short term courses with an objective of developing job-skill in demanding service sectors (e.g.) GST, Tally, ICT, Human values, waste management etc.
Others
- Orientation programme to newly admitted students.
- Redressal of issues related to scholarships etc.
- Solving non-academic problems like ragging, sexual harassment, issues of discrimination etc.
Evidence of Success
The evidence of success for the practice of learner-centric practices which are rendered in the form of academic support and career guidance in variously entitled systems have led to the following outcomes:

Problems Encountered and Resources Required
As an institution the main problems encountered in the carrying out of the rendering of student support and service activities are basically monetary natured. Keeping aside this limitation, the institution is offering all the student-oriented services in a reasonable cost.
